Didn't get in the Berkshire Fringe Festival..
not-so-secretly I’m glad… since we applied I’ve gotten much more interested in working on the movie instead. And I don’t have to become a singer by July 21. That’s how I spell relief.
Every character has to change.
Except for the bad guy. Excellent example is Deadwood - where all the characters change except for Hearst, who is a true sociopath (or more helpfully, a kind of sorcerer who works for some subterraneal entity in search of THE COLOR, that is, GOLD.)
If your good guy is bad - eg Al Swearengen - make the bad guy really bad. eg Hearst and Cy Tolliver. In the show, we see all the characters grow, and...
Screenplay = starting over.
From the performance to the screenplay there’s a lot of new ground.

File Management
is so key. when your Canon 7D is making 32 Gb of data for about every 12 minutes of footage, and then that’s ProRes-ed up to at least 200% of that for editing, things can get out of control very fast. And since there’s no real long-term storage other than hard drives (that I know of) you’re going to end up with stacks of 2Tb drives… the main thing is making a system so...
